Pavel's Russian Pull-up Program

pavel.jpg Pamela MacElree, founder of the blog Recipes for Performance & Fitness, sent me a new pull-up plan the other day. It's called the Russian Pull-up Program, and was designed by one Pavel Tsatsouline, kettlebell guru (pictured at left -- and I think His Sexiness is pointing at you).

His plan seems much more manageable than the Special Ops Plan we chatted about in April. Downright doable, in fact!

Hey, has anyone made progress on their pull-ups? I've gone from two to five. Not bad, but I'm looking for more.

Jason gave me this awhile ago and it's been working for me. I'm still working on my first unassisted pull up. I started doing this at the end of May and I've seen a lot of progress. So far I went from doing a few with the band to ten; now I'm working on a less supportive band. So thumbs up from me!

This is the program to follow. It couldn't be more simple, and yet it's also very effective. If you stick with it, you'll increase your pulling strength and your pull ups in no time.

Adapt it to whatever you're starting point is and you'll see results in the end. The main factor is to just be consistent.

It's pull up time!!
