Last night I saw Danny DeVito by the pretty-pretty fountain in Logan Square. He was filming an episode of "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia." Which has nothing to do with fitness, really, besides the fact that I was on my way home from the gym.
Best part? They had to stop shooting because it was too overcast.

You my friend, have some interesting posts. So glad I was being nosey.
Why thank you! I'm coming after you for a guest post on performance nutrition soon ... consider yourself warned.
(Check out Pam's recipe blog at http://recipesforperformance.blogspot.com.)
Anytime!
Did you take that shot yourself?! You can't call yourself a true celeb-stalker (like 2 of your co-workers who shall remain nameless) unless you shed your last drop of dignity and yelled "Danny! Danny! Over here!" Or, better yet, "Ooo-Wenn!" Man, Philly is place to be.
Jane,
Alas I did not take that photo. I *did* a picture of the camera equipment and crew on my phone (why? I'm not sure), in which you can make out exactly no one famous.
But I wouldn't have even had to call out his name -- I ended up getting close enough to him that I practically could have reached over and given him a noogie. But did I say anything to him? No. Did I ask for a picture? No. Did I go to the trouble of running across four lanes of traffic only to chicken out? Yes.
It was Jackie Warner all over again.
husband? ADORES THAT SHOW.
me? I tolerate it for him
not sure what Im missing.....
M.
jen, i'm disappointed in your lack of gumption and the fact that you did the hard work of getting across the traffic and then chickened out. i saw parker posey in rittenhouse square the other day walking her little white dog and i would have attacked her had it not been for one of the "real" attorneys eating lunch with us interns. i thought it might be inappropriate and a bit too much shock treatment for the secnod day of work. ha!
I keep meaning to catch an episode, because Jane (my celeb-stalking coworker) recommended it to me a while back. And she's got great taste! Except I do not love Christopher Guest movies the way she does so perhaps I won't start out by buying Season 1 on DVD....
Kim,
I'm disappointed in your lack of gumption and the fact that you had Parker Posey in your sites and did not approach her. (Let's not use the word "attack," OK?) Glass house, stones, blah blah blah.
I love with the fact that they couldn't keep shooting because it was too overcast. Awesome!
And I think you'll like the show. It's impossibly politically incorrect and, subsequently, hilarious.
I haven't seen anyone famous in, like, forever. The last famous person I saw was Josh Hartnett coming out of the Bryant Lake Bowl about 5 years ago. Wait! Wait! I take that back. I ran into Barbara Walters coming out of the bathroom at Serendipity in NYC last year. She was talking to her friend about having just eaten too much ice cream and how she would pay later. Ha ha.
PS: Am I taller than Danny DeVito? Please say yes.....
speaking of christopher guest, parker posey, best in show, waiting for guffman, love it. all of it.
Laine,
I love that you heard Barbara Walters talking about indigestion.
I once walked (stalked?) behind Darryl Hannah on the way to the ladies' room at a LOHAS conference and overheard her asking her friend if she thought doing a 10-day detox for four days "counted." Ha! Stars: They're Just Like Us!
You are taller than Danny DeVito. By a long shot, actually.
Kim,
Maybe I'll come around?
