Time to Shine: Win 2 Tickets to Illumination 2010!
I'm a big believer in the idea that we owe it to ourselves and everyone around us to enjoy life at our healthiest, happiest, shiniest best. That's why I'll be joining inspired women from all over the Minneapolis-St. Paul area on Saturday, March 27, for a day of self-discovery and expansion.
It's called Illumination 2010, and it's an amazing event dedicated to bringing the best and brightest in each of us.
Wanna come? I have a pair of tickets to give away! If you're interested, save the date (it's an all-day extravaganza), and then read on for how to get tickets! Hop on it, though: you have less than 48 hours to enter!
As part of the event, I'll be leading an interactive workshop called "Grow Your Goals: An Organic Process for Positive Life Change."
It's an introduction to a fun, creative approach I developed for helping people clarify their personal vision and goals, developing solid action plans -- and then making them happen.
With that in mind, I'd like to know:
Simply leave your response as a comment on this blog entry by midnight Friday, March 12, and you'll automatically be entered to win two tickets (valued at over $225). The winner will be selected based on the thoughtfulness and authenticity of his or her comment, as well as the spirit and clarity of the vision and/or goals identified.
The winner -- selected by the Illumination planning committee and yours truly -- will be announced on Monday, March 15, here at my blog. If you're the winner, I'll also personally contact you via email. And I'll seek you out to say "hi!" at the conference, too!
You can learn more about Illumination 2010, its amazing cast of presenters (Joan Steffend, Liv Lane, Maryanne O'Brien and more) and how to purchase tickets at www.illuminationevent.com.
But if you want a shot at winning two FREE tickets, remember to leave your entry/comment below now.
Hope to see you (and a few of your friends) there!

What I see in my future is being happy, in a whole way. Starting with myself, I have hopes of being an animal friendly eater, in a non-PETA member way. As well as dropping my caffeine addiction and expanding my food horizon in a healthier way. I am also hoping to join a meditation group to help me keep things balanced and peaceful. I'm all about keeping the peace this year, though try as I might, I feel I am failing.
I am hoping to find yet another way to bring even more love into my life for my dog, family, friends, and significant other.
After that, I'm simply hoping to be a happier self for those around me, in hopes that would help me, help them to be happier. Hoping to put my best self forward.
Love your columns--know you will be even better in person!!
My ideal future includes being free with myself and my resources. I will know exactly what my passion is and I will be going after it with the greatest determination and ease. I know that I hold myself back and that there is so much good I could do for others. Once I am working toward my passion (helping people in some way - haven't figured it out yet) there is no way that I could even stop myself. All I have figured out is that I want my days to be filled with people, nature, writing and caring for a part of the community.
My next positive step is spending more time with the community to find where I could serve. I recently signed up to volunteer for an earth day fair. I am also taking classes and talking to others about how they fell into their "life's work" so I can help identify mine.
We adopted a little girl when I was 42. Having been approve to adopt an older child, we weren't expecting the state to approach us about adopting a BABY but they did. I want to be as vital and active for her as I was for my older boys.
I have also recently discovered a new passion. I'm newly involved in advocating for biodiversity, wildlife and water conservation. Our newly founded watershed conservation group is working to preserve 500 square miles of pristine creek watershed that is one of the most biologically diverse watersheds in the US. I want to be fit in my body AND mind so I can be an effective advocate.
I have been growing my art in new directions which is exciting, and it teaches me that what I've wanted for my future is in my hands; to create and to make happen. And exciting is good in this over-stressed single parent of 5 adult children who still come to me and the one who continues to live with me who has Down syndrome.
Hi Chelsey,
I am hoping to get the name of the person who will be joining you for the conference next Saturday so I can get both of you registered:) Can you please email me at michele@lodestonedynamics.com when you get a chance? Thanks!
Hello Illumination tix give away participants,
If you're still interested in attending the Illumination event this Saturday, the winner of the pair of tickets is only able to use one, so we're looking to give away the other. If you're interested please email me at jmartin@experiencelifemag.com. It's available on a first-come, first-serve basis!
Thanks, Jamie Martin
